This project contributes to Canada’s $120 million loan for the Government of Ecuador. It supports the country’s Clean Energy Transition and Promotion of Private Investment in the energy sector. It does so through building workforce capacity, promoting universal access to clean energy, and addressing gender and accessibility issues in the energy sector. Project activities include: (1) providing tools and training to develop an orderly, fair, and inclusive energy transition process; (2) increasing access to electricity service in remote and Indigenous communities; and (3) reducing discrimination based on gender and disability in the electricity sector.
