About this program

This two-year project is designed to build capability to deter and reduce cyber threats by more robust implementation of international law, the UN cyber norms, and confidence-building measures (CBMs) and in a way that is tailored to regional, sub-regional and national priorities and concerns within the Indo-Pacific region. It builds on the Stimson Center’s ongoing Cyber Accountability project as well as a long track record of work in the region on issues of peace, security, and development. The project is focused on; 1) building knowledge and awareness to support implementation of the cyber norms, relevant law, and CBMs in the Indo-Pacific region to foster accountability 2) enhancing the voices and perspectives of Indo-Pacific states and non-governmental stakeholders on priority cybercrime and security threats facing the region.
