About this program

Public Safety Canada is to provide one-time funding to the Conseil de la Première Nation Abitibiwinni to support the purchase of policing equipment and supplies. Officers of the Pikogan Police Force will have access to essential and necessary resources in order to perform their duties safely and efficiently, as well as be better equipped to ensure the safety of the community in which they work. The funding related to the renovations and expansion of the police station will contribute to First Nation and Inuit communities having better access to professional, dedicated, and responsive police services.
